Description
Rome, Italy. The Tiber at sunset, with Ponte Principe Amedeo di Savoia Aosta and the Ospedale nuovo di Santo Spirito on the background. The bridge, in conventional bricks covered with marble, was designed by Bronzetti and inaugurated in 1942. The Ospedale di Santo Spirito in Sassia dates back as an hospital to the year 1024, and is the oldest hospital still in activity. The part looking toward the river was reconstructed in XIX century when it was necessary to make room for the embankments of the river (and is called "nuovo" Santo Spirito).
