Rome, Italy, Piazza di Spagna. Statue of king David by Adamo Tadolini on the pedestal of the Colonna dell'Immacolata Concezione (1856), an ancient Roman column found in 1777 in the Monastery of Santa Maria della Concezione in Campo Marzio. Following the declaration of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception by Council Vatican I a few years before under Pope Pius IX, Luigi Poletti was charged of a celebrative monument.The big pedestal is adorned with the statues of prophets Moses, Isaiah, Ezechiel and David, and with four low-reliefs.

Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
