Description
Rome, Italy. Nocturne view of the so called "Tempio di Vesta", which is actually the temple dedicated to Ercole Vincitore (Hercules Victor, Hercules The Conqueror) and is also known as Tempio di Ercole Oleario (Hercules Olivarius). Built in 120 b.C. restored under emperor Tiberius, was used as a church in the Middle Age (Santo Stefano alle Carrozze) which explains its very high degree of conservation. The cover is almost entirely non-original.
