Artist's Description
Northern part of Piazza Marconi in the EUR district in Rome. The two northern buildings of Piazza Marconi have extensions with huge marble columns forming some sort of propylaea while entering in the EUR coming from North (from Rome). Depicted here is the extension of the Palazzo delle Tradizioni popolari. The square, which has an oval shape, an obelisk on the center and is surrounded by four buildings with columnades, was designed by Francesco Fariello, Saverio Muratori and Ludovico Quaroni.
About Fabrizio Ruggeri
Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
