Rome, Italy. The Western fountain in Piazza del Popolo, the "Fontana del Nettuno", at night. The fountain is identical in structure to the fountain on the Eastern side (lower basin, upper basin in form of a shell, balustrade with two couples of twisted dolphins) but the sculpture group depicts "Nettuno tra due tritoni". Also this group was conceived by Giuseppe Valadier and realised by Giovanni Ceccarini (1818 - 21).
About Fabrizio Ruggeri
Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
