Artist's Description
Detail of the Fontana di Trevi in Rome, statue of Ocean, on a shell-shaped coach pulled by two sea horses, one "placido" (not visible in this picture) and the other "agitato", as a reference to the calm or rough state of the sea. The sea horses are in turn driven by tritons (sea kings).
The main architect of the fountain is Nicola Salvi. The main group with Ocean, coach, horses and tritons is by Pietro Bracci (1759 - 1762).

Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
