Rome, Italy. Scale model of Imperial Rome at the times of Constantine, in the Museo della Civiltà Romana.
This picture clearly shows the Circurs Maximus, the Palatine hill, the Capitoline hill, the Roman Forum, the Imperial Fora, the Basilica of Maxentius (aka Basilica of Constantine), the Temple of Venus and Roma, the Colosseum, the Ludus Magnum, the Claudianum. Behind the Colosseum the great compound of the Baths of Trajan. The quarter of low houses behind the Imperial Fora is the Suburra.
About Fabrizio Ruggeri
Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
