Description
Rome, Italy. North-West face of the Arch of Titus in the Roman Forum. It was built by Domitian as a monument to the victory obtained by Vespasian and Titus against the Hebrews. During the Middle Ages it was incorporated in the Frangipane fortress. Partially liberated under Sixtus IV, was entirely isolated in 1821 by Giuseppe Valadier.
